How We Test

Hands-on, repeatable, documented

Whenever possible, we test products ourselves. Every benchmark is run on a documented test bench, with drivers, firmware and game versions noted in the article.

Benchmark protocol

  • Components are tested at stock settings unless stated otherwise, on an open bench at controlled room temperature.
  • Games are run with built-in benchmarks where available, using repeatable scenes otherwise; each result is the median of at least three runs.
  • Power draw is measured at the wall, and thermals after a sustained load period.

Qualitative verdicts

We do not use numeric scores. Every review ends with a verdict box listing “What We Liked” and “What Needs Improvement”, so you can weigh the trade-offs yourself.

Review units

Review samples are never kept permanently and never influence the verdict. Retail units are purchased when a sample is unavailable.
